Maria serves as the Sustainability and Climate Change Lead at CLA Global TS. With a wealth of experience in advisory services, she works closely with both listed companies and SMEs, guiding them in the development and enhancement of their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) programs. Over her career, she has developed and delivered training on diverse topics ranging from sustainability to regulatory compliance and data governance.Maria sits on the ISCA’s Sustainability and Climate Change Committee where she also chairs the education sub-committee, where she works with institutes of higher learning to empower students interested in sustainability and climate change, helping to build their skills and expertise in this area. She is also the Chairperson of the Young Professionals Advisory Committee of ISCA.

Nhan advises companies and government agencies in Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region on sustainability strategies. These include reviewing sustainability frameworks, facilitating stakeholder engagement, target setting, roadmaps for sustainability performance improvement and disclosures that comply with regulatory requirements and international standards.Her work also includes providing advice on climate change risks and opportunities and their integration into strategic planning and risk management. In addition, she conducts sustainability assurance and due diligence for various environmental, social and governance performance indicators for companies from diverse sectors.

Yvonne serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Singapore Management University. She was also the Vice President at ISCA from 2017 to 2022.Yvonne has extensive experience in the finance and sustainability industry, having served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Record Officer and Sustainability Officer at Enterprise Singapore from 2019 to 2022, and the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer, Quality Service Manager, and Chief Data Officer at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore from 2008 - 2019.

Robert Charnock

Founding Director, Metis Institute of Climate Strategy

Dr. Robert J. Charnock has specialized in sustainability accounting since 2012, bringing extensive experience from both academia and industry. He earned his Ph.D. in Carbon Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), based on his work with the United Nations to develop Scope 3 carbon accounting standards for the financial sector. Dr. Charnock also served as a member of the ISSB Technical Reference Panel and has a decade of experience lecturing and teaching financial and management accounting.Dr. Charnock is leading Metis to drive forward with research into best practice focussing on three core themes: net zero transition planning, biodiversity scenario analysis, and ESG for MSMEs. Metis works closely with leading organizations such as WWF, WBCSD, and AICPA-CIMA on transition planning and ESG-related projects.Metis also has ongoing consulting engagements in collaboration with RSK Group, who part-fund Metis, driving practical applications of their specialist insights. Collaborations typically support RSK’s consultants in developing new methodologies and tackling practical challenges faced by clients at the forefront of climate- and nature-related risk, strategy and disclosure.
