Robert Charnock

Founding Director, Metis Institute of Climate Strategy

Dr. Robert J. Charnock has specialized in sustainability accounting since 2012, bringing extensive experience from both academia and industry. He earned his Ph.D. in Carbon Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), based on his work with the United Nations to develop Scope 3 carbon accounting standards for the financial sector. Dr. Charnock also served as a member of the ISSB Technical Reference Panel and has a decade of experience lecturing and teaching financial and management accounting.Dr. Charnock is leading Metis to drive forward with research into best practice focussing on three core themes: net zero transition planning, biodiversity scenario analysis, and ESG for MSMEs. Metis works closely with leading organizations such as WWF, WBCSD, and AICPA-CIMA on transition planning and ESG-related projects.Metis also has ongoing consulting engagements in collaboration with RSK Group, who part-fund Metis, driving practical applications of their specialist insights. Collaborations typically support RSK’s consultants in developing new methodologies and tackling practical challenges faced by clients at the forefront of climate- and nature-related risk, strategy and disclosure.

Chan Mun Wei

Founder & Principal Consultant, SustainableSG

Chan Mun Wei is an experienced corporate trainer and Adjunct Lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. As Founder and Principal Consultant of SustainableSG, his work covers sustainability strategy and implementation, reviewing organizational programmes and targets related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, benchmarking ESG practices, writing sustainability reports, developing carbon management policies, and formulating circular economy business models. He is involved in pro bono and community work such as volunteering with The Matcha Initiative non-profit network to promote corporate sustainability, serving as an advisory board member of the MDIS School of Tourism and Hospitality, and conducting undergraduate admission interviews for Stanford University.Prior to starting SustainableSG in September 2018, Mun Wei was the Divisional Director of Corporate Planning and Sustainability Lead at Sentosa Development Corporation from April 2009 to August 2018. His responsibilities included corporate strategy and organizational transformation, developing and implementing the Sentosa Sustainability Plan, managing corporate-wide enterprise risk management and corporate social responsibility.

Liu Weiting

Weiting is an accomplished sustainability professional with experience delivering sustainability-related services, particularly with respect to climate change and biodiversity. Weiting has an excellent understanding of a broad range of sustainability topics, which she levers in support of the development of strategy and reporting in accordance with a variety of international standards (TCFD, ISSB, GRI, CDP, TPT, TNFD).Weiting is also a driven social scientist with five years of independent research experience in human nature interface. Through this experience, she has developed a capacity for critical thinking and quantitative data analysis, and also became a competent teaching assistant, having been placed on the honour roll for consistently high teaching performance at the National University of Singapore.The transferable skills and interdisciplinary knowledge Weiting possesses make her highly adaptable in different environments and cultures, while at the same time proficient in delivering high-quality results. Weiting is keen to explore opportunities with influential organisations, where she can tap into her academic and corporate experiences to propose solutions that break the silo and enhance synergies between climate change and biodiversity.
